Your child sits one tier: Foundation (the easier papers, grades 1 to 5) or Higher (the harder papers, grades 4 to 9). The school decides which. Foundation students sit Papers 1, 2 and 3. Higher students sit Papers 4, 5 and 6. The non-calculator paper is the middle one. Each paper is worth one third of the final grade. A formulae sheet is provided in every paper.
