Keeping Lessons Safe

How Online Lessons Work

• Lessons take place on Google Meet or Zoom, using a link shared with the parent.
• I teach with my camera on, from a quiet, professional setting.
• I recommend students join from a shared space at home, such as the kitchen or living room, rather than behind a closed door.
• Lessons are not recorded unless parents ask for this and agree to it in writing.

Communication

• All arrangements are made with parents, including times, changes and payments.
• I don't connect with students on personal social media.
• Any messages with older students about homework are only with their parent's agreement, and parents can see them at any time.

If I Ever Have a Concern

If I notice anything that worries me about a student's wellbeing, I'll talk to their parents promptly. If I believe a child may be at risk of harm, I'll follow UK safeguarding guidance and contact the appropriate services. Parents can also contact the NSPCC Helpline on 0808 800 5000 for advice at any time.

Science Lessons With Zainab

• Science lessons with Zainab follow exactly the same approach as everything above.
• Zainab holds a police clearance certificate, which parents can ask to see.
• She teaches with her camera on, and parents are welcome to sit in on any lesson.
• Arrangements, invoices and progress updates always go to parents.
