About These Terms
Learn Maths with Ibrahim offers one-to-one online tuition to students in the UK: maths with Ibrahim and science with Zainab. By booking lessons, you agree to the points below. If anything is unclear, please ask. You can reach us at mathstutoringbyibrahim@gmail.com or on WhatsApp.
Lessons
- Lessons take place online on Google Meet or Zoom, one-to-one. Students need a device with a camera and microphone, and a quiet place to work.
- Your first lesson is free and lasts 90 minutes. There is no obligation to continue afterwards.
- Regular lessons are usually 90 minutes, and 60-minute lessons are available too.
- Parents are welcome to sit in on any lesson. Bookings and arrangements for students under 18 are made with a parent or guardian.
Fees and Payment
- Fees are per hour, as shown on the Prices page, and are charged at the hourly rate for the time booked.
- Nothing is paid upfront. At the end of each month you receive one invoice for the lessons that took place, payable by bank transfer.
- There are no packages, contracts or minimum number of lessons.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
- 24+ Hours' NoticeCancel or move a lesson at least 24 hours before it starts at no charge, and we'll find another time.
- Under 24 HoursLessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are charged at half the lesson fee.
- Missed LessonsIf a student doesn't attend without letting us know, the full lesson fee is charged.
- Illness & EmergenciesGenuine emergencies happen. Let us know as soon as you can and we'll sort it out fairly.
- If We CancelIf we ever need to cancel, you won't be charged and we'll reschedule at a time that suits you.
- HolidaysIf holidays or missed sessions come up, we'll agree a time to reschedule together.
Progress and Communication
- Every student receives a written personal plan, and parents receive a written progress update every six weeks.
- Parents can message us between lessons with any questions.
Safeguarding
Our tutors hold a police clearance certificate, teach with their cameras on, and parents are welcome to sit in. Read more on the Safeguarding page.
Results
We work hard to help every student improve, but we cannot guarantee a particular grade, because results depend on many things, including the student's effort and the exam itself.
Stopping Lessons
You can stop lessons at any time. You only pay for lessons that have already taken place, and any lesson cancelled inside the notice period above.
